How Wallabag works

Wallabag receives an article URL, extracts the main readable content, and stores a clean copy in the user’s library. Saved entries can be marked unread, archived after reading, favourited, tagged, searched, and filtered. The original source link remains available when a reader needs to return to the live page.

Compatible browser extensions, mobile applications, and API clients can add or retrieve entries from the same server account. Highlights and annotations preserve useful passages, while imports and exports provide routes between Wallabag and supported reading or bookmark formats.
