Planka organises work into projects containing boards, lists, and cards. A board represents a workflow, lists describe stages, and cards hold the individual tasks moving through those stages. Team members can assign cards, add labels and due dates, write Markdown descriptions, attach files, and update a board through drag-and-drop actions.
Changes are synchronised across connected users, so a board can act as a shared operational view rather than a static checklist. Planka is most effective when a group agrees on what each list means and keeps card ownership, dates, and completion states current.
