Pinry represents each saved item as a pin on a tiled board. A pin can point to an image, video, or web page, receive tags, and appear in a layout intended for quick visual scanning. Search by tags or board name helps retrieve references after the collection grows, while online image fetching creates previews for supported sources.
Boards can be public or private, and Pinry supports multiple users. Browser extensions, an API, and a companion command-line client offer additional capture paths, but those clients are separate from the hosted web application. Imported material remains subject to the source site’s availability, permissions, copyright, and hotlink or download rules.
